Muwekma Ohlone   This is the official website of the Muwekma Ohlone Indian Tribe with lots of information about themselves. It contains many current events articles and also has a picture gallery. The goal of it is to provide information about the tribe and by doing so, they hope to obtain federal recognition.

 Gabrielino/Tongva  The text and graphics for this site is intended to present the history and culture of the Gabrielino/Tongva. Their goals include achieving recognition of their people, cultural recovery and renewal, be wise guardians of their lands and ancestral remains. To the best of my knowledge, this site is made by the people of the Gabrielino/Tongva. 

The National Indian Justice Center, Inc., The goals of this particular web site are to design and deliver legal education, research, and technical assistance programs to improve tribal court systems and the administration of justice in Indian Country. The National Indian Justice Center, Inc., (NIJC) is an Indian owned site. This site has educational value about certain programs helping tribal personnel. 

American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC). A professional organization made up of 32 tribal colleges whose mission is to support the work of these colleges and the national movement for tribal self-determination.

Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Federal information and resources, including a list of tribal leaders.

Diversity: Issues and Responses. Information and resources for understanding and responding to diversity.

"Endangered Native Languages". The situation of Native American languages in the U.S.

ERIC Clearinghouse on Rural Education and Small Schools. Clearinghouse that specializes in American Indian issues, including the publication of such books as Next Steps: Research and Practice to Advance Indian Education. See the entire ERIC system, including the 16 subject-specific Clearninghouses.

Journal of American Indian Education. One thousand articles covering thirty years of the journal compiled by the Center for Indian Education at Arizona State University.

National Museum of the American Indian. The Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian is dedicated to the preservation, study, and exhibition of the life, languages, literature, history, and arts of Native Americans.

Native American Authors. Information on Native North American authors with bibliographies of their published works and links to tribal Web sites.

Native American Indian Resources. Links to Native American art, culture, education, history, and science.

Native Maps. Maps of California's Native American lands and tribes. Links to artists, powwows, and other information specific to California.

National Clearinghouse for Bilingual Education (NCBE). NCBE has numerous links to extensive resources on Native Americans.

Office of Indian Education, U.S. Department of Education. Under Title IX of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), Indian Education programs are authorized to support the efforts of local educational agencies, Indian tribes, and other entities to meet the special educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
